Job summary

Blank Street is seeking a Shift Leader in Newcastle upon Tyne to lead a cafe team, craft quality coffee, and drive daily sales with excellent customer service.

You will support the General Manager, train new staff, and ensure flawless execution of recipes, cleanliness, and brand standards in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a frontline leadership opportunity in a growing brand with strong local impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in the customer service or hospitality industry.
• Availability: 35 hours per week, 5 days, must include Fri/Sat/Sun.
• Must be authorised to work in the UK.
• Availability to work 6:30 am–9:00 pm; weekend/holiday availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Craft and serve high-quality coffee and Blank Street products with warmth and energy.
• Assist GM and Training Team to onboard new staff and ensure recipes and standards are followed.
• Open/close the store safely as key holder and maintain store cleanliness throughout shift.
• Handle customer issues with positive, solution-focused responses.
• Lead store initiatives with operations/marketing to increase foot traffic and sales.
