Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee the fill operation and ensure the sales floor is ready to trade. The role involves coordinating resources, leading the floor in the absence of the Colleague Manager, and driving productivity during store opening hours.

You will be responsible for allocating staff to ensure a smooth checkout experience, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-presented store, and role Modelling exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation to prep the salesfloor for trading.
• Coordinate resources to deliver operational tasks during fill and in manager's absence.
• Lead the floor, coach colleagues on One Best Way and drive productivity for store opening.
• Allocate resources for quick payment experience.
• Ensure daily operational processes are implemented efficiently across the store.
• Coordinate team to deliver a clean, safe, well-presented store.
• Support colleague managers by sharing observations to drive high performance.
• Be a key holder and handle call outs; open/close responsibilities.
• Assist nearby stores if required.
• Role model great customer service and company behaviours.
