Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Shift Heating Ventilation Engineer to join our facilities team in Coventry. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems, with a 42-hour week and a 4-on/4-off pattern.

You will diagnose faults and repair plant to keep critical systems running in a healthcare setting. Ideal candidates hold NVQ3 in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, IOSH Working Safely, and a structured training program of at least three years, with

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent; IOSH Working Safely certification.
• Completion of a structured training programme in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and make judgements across a wide range of issues while handling pre-planned and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing installations, adapting to new situations.
• Deliver high standards of workmanship across complex systems and understand the relationship between mechanical and electrical systems.
• Actively monitor the CAFM system to ensure tasks are assigned within timescales and issues resolved proactively.
• Observe health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.
