Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer in Coventry to join the estates team. You will provide operation, maintenance and building services for HVAC systems across the site, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and statutory requirements.

The role involves reactive and planned maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and accurate documentation in CAFM systems, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 minimum in plumbing or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in a maintenance environment; hospital/healthcare experience advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Mechanical HVAC Engineer who will work collaboratively as part of the estates team to provide a full operation, maintenance, engineering and building service that meets statutory and contractual obligations.

Role Responsibilities:

• -Carry out day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance to HVAC systems across the estate.
• -Perform diagnostic checks, fault finding and repairs using multi-skilled knowledge and experience.
• -Ensure assets are maintained in accordance with contractual requirements, HTMs, HBMs and manufacturer's instructions.
• -Accurately complete all work-related documentation and update CAFM systems in a timely manner.
• -Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Required Qualifications:

• -Served a recognised trade training scheme to NVQ Level 2 minimum (or equivalent) in plumbing or mechanical engineering.
• -Experience in a maintenance environment (hospital or healthcare experience advantageous).
• -Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
