Job summary

DS Smith Europe is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. This hands‑on role focuses on keeping the manufacturing operation running safely, reliably and efficiently.

You will respond quickly to breakdowns, perform fault finding and repairs, support a multi‑skilled maintenance team, and carry out planned and reactive maintenance to a high standard while driving continuous improvement and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs on site machinery.
• Experience supporting multi-skilled teams in maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

DS Smith is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll play an important part in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely, reliably and efficiently.

• Responding quickly and effectively to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Carrying out electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs across site machinery and equipment.
• Supporting mechanical maintenance and breakdown activities as part of a multi‑skilled engineering team.
• Completing planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities to a high standard.
• Identifying recurring faults and contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Working safely in line with company procedures, risk assessments and relevant legislation.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities through the site’s maintenance management systems.
• Working closely with Production and Engineering colleagues to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Supporting engineering improvement projects and equipment upgrades where required.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and quality within the engineering environment.
