Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. This hands‑on role focuses on keeping our manufacturing operation safe, reliable and efficient.

You will perform planned preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding and repairs, while supporting the wider engineering team with mechanical breakdowns. The position runs 37.5 hours per week on days, offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Electrical background with ability to work across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Carry out electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on site machinery.
• Support mechanical maintenance and breakdown activities as part of a multi‑skilled team.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance to high standards.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to root cause analysis.
