Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team in the UK. This hands-on role focuses on keeping our manufacturing operation running safely, reliably and efficiently, with a 37.5-hour week (days) and a salary of £43,970.87.

You will perform planned preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding and repairs, and support the wider engineering team with mechanical breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in maintenance of manufacturing/industrial equipment.
• Ability to work in a multi-skilled team and independently.
• Commitment to health, safety and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on site machinery and equipment.
• Support mechanical maintenance and breakdown activities.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
• Identify recurring faults and assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
