Role Description

Job Purpose: Lead and support the team to ensure maximum utilization of resources and equipment for efficient production of Right First Time products. Deputise for the Shift Operations Manager as required. Achieve these within the company's quality, safety, and environmental frameworks while developing a team-oriented and continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage night shift operations (Monday - Thursday, 22:00 - 06:00; Friday, 18:00 - 00:00).
  2. Support an end-to-end team, proactively managing to meet daily and weekly production plans, aligning with growth strategies.
  3. Promote a culture of positive behaviors and values to enable team responsiveness.
  4. Maintain operational flexibility and efficient use of resources, including engineering, logistics, and technical support.
  5. Ensure the safety of personnel and products.
  6. Focus on short to medium-term planning (weeks 1 to 4).
  7. Operate effectively within a unionised environment, driving continuous improvement to achieve 'best in class'.
  8. Build strong relationships with team members, peers, and colleagues.
  9. Model and promote the right values and behaviors.
  10. Embed supply chain strategies across the team and department.
  11. Ensure compliance with company and site processes and procedures.
  12. Manage budgets and support capital expenditure projects.
  13. Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the site.
  14. Maintain food safety, legality, integrity, authenticity, and quality standards by adhering to policies and procedures.
