This position reports to

Service Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

The Service Sales Business Development Manager develops tactical and strategic customer plans to meet financial orders, sales, and margin goals. The role involves growing the ABB EL Services portfolio, including service engineering solutions, hardware solutions, aftermarket parts, and ABB Ability Digital Solutions. Responsibilities include identifying, developing, and closing orders, supporting short-term and long-term business goals, and leveraging various customer engagement channels. The work model is remote, with the territory covering MO, KS, and AR, ideally based in Kansas City, St. Louis, or Mid-Missouri. The role contributes to the Electrification Services division in the southern region and involves providing sales leadership, maintaining records in Salesforce, establishing relationships with ABB Reps, and collaborating with sales teams to promote service solutions.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in an industrial or utility sales role); preferred in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or marketing.
  • Knowledge of electrical power studies, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relaying; experience in industrial, commercial, and utility markets.
  • Success in developing new customer volume/trade area.
  • Industry experience in Marine, Utilities, Manufacturing, Material Handling, Pharmaceutical, Water/Waste Water, Metals, Mining, Pulp and Paper, or Chemical and Petrochemical sectors preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial and utility applications for services, repairs, and products preferred.
  • Legal work authorization for employment in the US required.
