Job summary

SSE PLC seeks a Marine Coordinator to support the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm from the Wick O&M base. You will coordinate vessel, helicopter and personnel movements, act as the primary contact in emergencies, monitor marine activity and support safe offshore operations from the control room.

Based in Wick with a 7-day shift pattern, you will need strong marine knowledge, weather interpretation skills and calm, clear communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience or strong knowledge of marine and vessel operations.
• Ability to interpret weather and sea-state information and assess impact on offshore operations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with offshore personnel and stakeholders.
• Calm, organised and decisive under pressure, especially during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel, helicopter and personnel movements to offshore wind farm.
• Act as primary point of contact during emergencies, communicating with offshore personnel and vessels.
• Monitor marine activity around the wind farm using radar and AIS.
• Support safe offshore operations by following procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational and personnel information to support the Control Room.
