Swindon Borough Council seeks a proactive Sheltered Housing Officer to deliver high-quality housing management and support across sheltered schemes. You will engage with residents, conduct inductions, viewings, and tenancy sustainment while ensuring safety, safeguarding and welfare checks are completed.

You will collaborate with Housing, Adult Social Care and health partners to identify needs, respond to inquiries and maintain well-managed schemes that promote independence and thriving

Qualifikationen

• Experience in housing management or sheltered/supported housing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with older/vulnerable residents.
• Experience managing a varied caseload and balancing priorities.
• Ability to identify support needs, assess risk and work with partners.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management, safeguarding or ability to learn quickly.

Aufgaben

• Deliver housing management and housing-related support across sheltered schemes.
• Inductions, viewings, tenancy sustainment and low-level antisocial behaviour management.
• Manage alarm systems, health and safety and compliance checks.
• Conduct scheme inspections and maintain safe, well-maintained buildings.
• Coordinate with Housing, Adult Social Care and Health partners to meet residents' needs.
