Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society in Nottingham is seeking a Sheltered Housing Manager to oversee resident groups, manage tenancy agreements, and maintain a safe, welcoming living environment across Nottingham, Quorn and Lincoln. You will lead a small team, maximise occupancy, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with housing regulations and internal policies.

This permanent, full-time role is 35 hours per week, with a salary of £32,432.40.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheltered housing, health or social care environment preferred.
• Understanding of Housing legislation, assured shorthold tenancy management and landlord/tenant obligations.
• Experience managing staff across locations.
• Able to balance resident needs with business needs.
• Budgeting experience and cost control.
• Computer literate with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage groups of elderly residents and tenancy agreements, ensuring a safe, positive accommodation experience and promote occupancy.
• Develop and implement local marketing activities to promote houses and secure high community reputation; build referral networks.
• Control staff budgets, rotas and timesheets; monitor utilities and costs in line with budget.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and Abbeyfield policies; support internal audit processes.
