East Renfrewshire Council is seeking a Housing Support Worker to provide a housing support service for tenants in sheltered housing, liaising with other support services and agencies when required and making appropriate referrals for assistance with tenancy agreements.

You will oversee the safe and efficient running of the sheltered housing complex, with a focus on supporting older residents and vulnerable people, maintaining a calm, patient and professional approach to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing or residential care settings is desirable.
• Knowledge of vulnerable people’s needs is important.
• High reliability and personal integrity are essential.
• Ability to stay calm and patient in emergencies.
