Job summary

L&Q Living Housing Management is seeking a Sheltered Housing Assistant to support residents aged 55 and over across schemes in the London Borough of Lambeth. You will help ensure residents feel safe, secure and able to live independently while delivering high-quality housing management services.

The role involves on-site customer service, health and safety checks, and administrative duties to maintain records and coordinate with contractors. A DBS and safeguarding commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service excellence in resident-facing role
• Health & safety awareness with fire safety understanding
• Organisational skills and ability to manage varied workload
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Team collaboration and flexible attitude

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site representative, guiding residents and serving as main contact for families and visitors
• Conduct health and safety inspections, report repairs, oversee upkeep and coordinate with contractors
• Maintain accurate health and safety checks, incidents, repairs and documentation for efficient operations
• Collaborate with Housing Management to address tenancy concerns and escalate issues when needed
