Job summary

ProGroup Recruitment Limited is assisting an established passive fire protection contractor to appoint a SHE Advisor. You will provide practical health and safety guidance to site teams, helping embed a positive safety culture across projects.

Key duties include conducting site audits, reviewing procedures, advising on CDM compliance, and delivering toolbox talks. You will report to contracts managers and support continuous SHE improvements.

Qualifications

• Must have health and safety experience in construction.
• Ability to train and coach operational teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical health and safety advice, coaching and mentoring to operational teams.
• Carry out site audits and office inspections, ensuring actions are followed through to completion.
• Review and improve health and safety procedures and site documentation.
• Advise on CDM requirements and support compliance across projects.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, producing reports with root cause analysis and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver toolbox talks and internal health and safety training.
• Identify training and qualification needs within operational teams.
• Lead initiatives to improve safety awareness, near-miss reporting and other SHE performance measures.
• Attend operational and pre-start meetings, contributing advice at the planning stage.
• Prepare monthly SHE reports and support ongoing improvements across the business.
