Job summary

Extension Recruitment is working with a major civil engineering client to appoint a SHE Advisor in Basildon. The role supports site teams, promotes a strong safety culture, and ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental standards on a flagship project.

You will lead site inspections, investigations, inductions and HSE training, maintain documentation and reports, and build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive continual improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, safety and environment within construction or civil engineering.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or higher is required.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and current H&S legislation.

We are delighted to be working with client operating within the civil engineering and major infrastructure sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SHE Advisor to join a well-established organisation delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK.

As a SHE Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting site operations, promoting a positive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on a major project. This position would suit a proactive SHE Advisor who enjoys working closely with operational teams and driving continual improvement across site activities.

The Role

About You

• Site-based experience within a construction environment.
