Job summary

AECOM is seeking an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer to grow within our HV Substation Design team in the UK or Ireland. You will contribute to shaping energy infrastructure by producing layouts, specifications and engineering input across a varied portfolio, including grids, renewables and data center projects.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects.
• Exposure to technical report writing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with producing primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Support with equipment specifications for HV Plant and related equipment.
• Provide design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Support Owners’ Engineer role on HV substation, Cable and OHL projects.
• Contribute HV design input to renewable energy projects (battery, solar, hydro, wind).
• Gain mentorship from experienced engineers in a collaborative team.
