Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a Setting Out Engineer for civil engineering, surveying and groundworks projects across Home Counties and Northamptonshire. You will set out and survey on site, work with the Site Manager, and manage essential documentation and quality checks.

The role requires a proven civils track record, residential housing experience is preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to read architects’ drawings. A full clean driving licence is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Setting out and surveying works on site.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and wider construction team.
• Produce and review RAMS, ITPs, RFIs and other project documentation.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Check levels, dimensions and quality of completed works.
• Maintain accurate site records and engineering documentation.
• Assist with technical queries and resolving site issues.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and project management teams.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure standards are met.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams.
• Identify potential issues and assist with practical solutions.
• Ensure health, safety and quality requirements are maintained.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Setting Out Engineer - Civil Engineering, Surveying, Groundworks

• Setting out and surveying works on site
• Working closely with the Site Manager and wider construction team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Setting Out Engineer - Civil Engineering, Surveying, Groundworks

• Working on infrastructure, commercial and residential groundwork across main contractors, developers and major house builders
• Completing site surveys and essential site preparation
• Working on multiple projects across the Home Counties and Northamptonshire

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Setting Out Engineer - Civil Engineering, Surveying, Groundworks

• Have a proven track record as a Setting Out Engineer within the civils market
• Preferably have residential / housing experience
• Be able to use AUTOCAD and read technical drawings from architects
• Be either on the books or self employed, would consider both (ideally on the books)
• You will hold a BTEC or Level 3 qualification in civil engineering or surveying, but we welcome applicants who have a HNC, HND or Degree in civil engineering or surveying
• You will need a full clean driving license
