Job summary

CBS Butler is seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Architect to lead architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale ITOM capabilities. The role focuses on defining scalable solutions across Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, and Event Management, with emphasis on secure integrations and governance.

The candidate will work with stakeholders to shape roadmaps, ensure data quality in CMDB, and guide development teams toward best-practice implementations within a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Architect.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and solution design across ServiceNow ITOM implementations.
• Define technical architecture for Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Discovery, and CMDB.
• Provide architecture governance, technical assurance, and guidance across ServiceNow delivery teams.
• Design secure, scalable integrations between ServiceNow and third-party tooling.
• Support solution estimation, planning, governance, and technical approvals.
• Work with customer stakeholders to develop architecture roadmaps.
• Ensure CMDB architecture supports service visibility and data quality.
• Provide technical leadership to developers and project teams.
• Contribute to solution reviews, bid responses, and client presentations.
• Ensure all solutions align with ServiceNow best practices and security requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Architect to provide architectural leadership across the design and delivery of ServiceNow IT Operations Management capabilities within a complex enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on ITOM expertise, with a particular focus on Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, Event Management, and Cloud Discovery. You will work closely with customer stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery functions to design scalable solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practice and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and solution design activities across ServiceNow ITOM implementations.
• Define technical architecture for Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Discovery, and CMDB.
• Provide architecture governance, technical assurance, and guidance across ServiceNow delivery teams.
• Design secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations between ServiceNow and third-party enterprise tooling.
• Support solution estimation, planning, governance, and technical approvals.
• Work directly with customer stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective architecture roadmaps.
• Ensure CMDB architecture supports service visibility, operational processes, data quality, and reporting requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to ServiceNow developers, administrators, and project teams.
• Contribute to solution reviews, bid responses, and client presentations where required.
• Ensure all solutions align with ServiceNow best practice, enterprise architecture principles, and security requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a ServiceNow Architect.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and delivering ServiceNow ITOM solutions.
• Strong expertise across:
  • ServiceNow Discovery
  • Service Mapping
  • CMDB
  • Event Management
  • Cloud Discovery
• Experience with Operational Intelligence would be desirable.
• Strong experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise monitoring, infrastructure, and third-party tooling.
• Strong understanding of ITIL and enterprise service management practices.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and maintainable ServiceNow solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA).
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and/or ITOM certifications.
• Experience working within regulated, government, or defence environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale ServiceNow transformation programmes.
