Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking a Service Tendering Engineer in Staffordshire. You will support the Service Tendering Manager in determining the best solutions and help prepare tender documents, driving growth by expanding the customer portfolio and creating new business opportunities.

You will collaborate with the wider Service Sales Team and other Hitachi Energy areas to develop cross-business opportunities, engaging with customers, providing clear quotes to high-quality specifications,

Qualifications

Excellent communication, both written and verbal, in English.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
UK driving license required.
Proven customer-focused approach.
Background in the power sector.

Responsibilities

Prepare and support the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specifications.
Analyse project requirements with stakeholders and develop realistic project schedules.
Bid tracking and reporting; update bid status using internal tools (e.g., Salesforce).
Understand why tenders succeed or fail (Win/Loss Analysis) and feed lessons back into future bids.
Maintain high levels of customer engagement and ensure timely responses and high-quality quotations.
Ensure alignment with Customer Service principles and business impact.
Schedule tasks to meet customer timelines and drive satisfaction in service and products.
