Marshall Nissan Reading is looking for a Service Technician to join a high-volume Nissan workshop in Reading. You will work alongside skilled technicians in a modern facility with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic, ideally with warranty and servicing exposure.
• MOT Licence is a plus; training can be provided if not yet qualified.
• Commitment to safety, quality and following process.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostics, warranty and repair work.
• Handle maintenance tasks from oil changes to cambelt changes, with digital write-ups.
• Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) per Marshall standards.

Join a modern Nissan workshop featuring 10 service bays and a dedicated MOT bay, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, built-in toolboxes, specialist Nissan diagnostic equipment and a clean, well-maintained working environment with heating throughout. Operating at a high volume with more than 30 vehicles passing through the workshop each day, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across a varied workload while benefiting from strong earning potential.

You’ll work alongside a skilled and experienced team that includes two Master Technicians and long-serving colleagues with over 50 years of combined experience, providing excellent opportunities to learn from knowledgeable mentors and further develop your technical expertise. Nissan's manufacturer training programme provides a clear pathway for progression, supported by both manufacturer-led courses and in-house development, helping Technicians advance from Service Technician through to Diagnostic Technician and ultimately Master Technician level.

In this role:

• You’ll carry out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• You’ll handle a variety of vehicle maintenance tasks, from oil changes to cambelt changes, supported by digital write-ups and job card completion.
• You’ll conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in line with Marshall standards.

We're looking for:

• Someone with a recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Someone with previous experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic, ideally with exposure to both warranty and servicing work.
• Someone with strong teamwork skills, who follows process and upholds high standards of safety and quality.
• Someone with a MOT Licence is a plus – full training can be provided if not yet qualified.
• Most importantly, someone eager to learn as this role will test you, but also help you develop and progress within your Mechanic careers with our manufacturer accreditation training.

Level 2 qualified?

Through our Marshall Level Up Programme, we can support you in achieving your Level 3 qualification within just 14 weeks.
