Job summary

Revved Up Recruitment is working with a client in Grays, Essex to recruit an experienced Vehicle Service Technician. This role focuses on routine servicing, MOT repair work, and general mechanical tasks to high standards. You will diagnose faults and perform repairs while maintaining thorough service records.

The position is full-time and permanent, with salary up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience, and typical hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Experience as Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Experience carrying out MOT repairs.
• Ability to identify faults and perform repairs efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance.
• Complete oil changes, filter replacements and general service work.
• Carry out MOT repairs and rectify faults identified during MOT inspections.
• Undertake brake, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs.
• Conduct vehicle health checks and identify additional repair requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out appropriate repairs.
• Replace worn or defective vehicle components.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow workshop procedures.
• Keep the workshop clean, tidy and organised.

Salary and Working Hours

Monday to Saturday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
