Job summary

Octane Recruitment is helping a rapidly growing fast-fit automotive business recruit a Vehicle Technician for their Exmouth retail centre. No formal qualifications are required as the client will fund Level 3 qualifications (IMI & Hybrid).

Based in Exmouth, the role involves light and full-service work, brake/exhaust/battery replacement, wheel alignment, tyre diagnostics and team collaboration to achieve workshop targets.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence - Essential.
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed).
• Passion for automotive industry and willingness to learn with hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work.
• Fast-fit duties: brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension parts.
• Operate wheel alignment machinery and interpret readings.
• Tyre diagnostics and fast-fit replacements.
• Collaborate with workshop teammates to hit targets.
• Work as part of a team with other Vehicle Technicians.

Our client who is one of the UK's fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Exmouth.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Exmouth

Pay / salary: £28,000 - £32,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 - 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence - Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
