Job summary

Octane Recruitment's client, a fast-growing UK automotive business, seeks a Vehicle Technician for their Wimborne retail centre. You will review work on customer vehicles and perform fast-fit mechanical tasks as well as light and full-service work. No qualifications are required to start; they will fund Level 3 training (IMI & Hybrid).

Location: Wimborne. Salary £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience, with uncapped OTE £3,600. Mon-Fri 08:30–17:30; Sat on rota with a day off in the week.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence required.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician preferred (not necessarily qualified).
• Employer offers to fund Level 3 qualifications (IMI & Hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Perform light and full-service work on customers' vehicles.
• Carry out fast-fit duties such as brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension parts.
• Operate wheel alignment equipment and interpret readings for accurate adjustments.
• Conduct tyre diagnostics and repairs across various makes.
• Collaborate with workshop team to meet targets.

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Wimborne.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work. You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Pay / salary:

£30,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience

OTE:

Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule:

08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities:

• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
