Job summary

Eastern Western Motor Group in Scotland is seeking automotive technicians to perform routine maintenance and complex repairs, diagnose issues, and manage parts. You will document services, complete VHC reports, and uphold quality and safety standards in a busy workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Routine & Complex Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, tyre rotations) and complex repairs on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, use diagnostic tools to identify issues, and collaborate with colleagues to avoid unresolved faults.
• Parts Management: Recommend, order, receive, and install appropriate replacement parts, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete job cards, document all services, repairs, parts used, and submit Vehicle Health Check (VHC) reports.
• Quality & Safety Standards: Adhere to quality control standards, ensure repairs are reliable and safe, meet efficiency and productivity targets, and maintain a focus on health and safety for yourself and others.
