Service Sales Specialist

This position reports to:

Service Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities, and secure profitable sales. You will focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the full Service product portfolio, including Low and Medium voltage solutions (up to 33kV). Building long-term customer relationships and responding promptly to customer needs will be key. The work model is remote, with the candidate based in Northern England, with occasional travel to Scotland. This role contributes to the Electrification service division, primarily engaging with End Users.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Penetrating IB, promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions for customers and ABB.
  2. Understanding channel strategy, establishing pricing, preparing sales plans, reviewing them, and proposing recovery plans when needed.
  3. Generating service sales leads and exploring new market opportunities through market trend analysis and potential new service portfolios.
  4. Acting as a marketer/salesperson for ABB’s service products during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings). Solutions include Service Agreements, Installation and Commissioning Spares, Maintenance and Repair, Extensions, Upgrades, Retrofits, Advisory Services, and Digital solutions.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Experience in the Electrification Industry and supporting and selling solutions to end users across industries such as Food and Beverage, Utilities, Power Stations, Data Centres, Petrochemical, etc.
  • Proven sales and marketing experience within the Electrification Industry or similar fields.
  • Background in sales, marketing, and communications.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • UK full clean driving license.
