Join to apply for the Service Sales Specialist role at ABB.

This position reports to the Service Sales Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities, and secure profitable sales. Focus areas include Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire Service product portfolio, including Low and Medium voltage solutions (up to 33kV). You will build long-term customer relationships and respond promptly to customer needs.

The work model is remote, with the candidate based in the Northern part of England, with occasional travel to Scotland.

This role contributes to the Electrification service division, mainly engaging with End Users.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Penetrating IB, promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions to benefit customers and ABB.
  • Understanding channel strategy, establishing related prices, preparing sales plans, reviewing, and proposing recovery plans when needed.
  • Generating service sales leads and exploring new market opportunities through market trend analysis and new service portfolios.
  • Acting as a marketer/salesperson during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings). Solutions include Service Agreements, Installation and Commissioning Spares, Maintenance and Repair, Extensions, Upgrades, Retrofits, Advisory Services, and Digital solutions.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the Electrification Industry and supporting solutions into end users across industries such as Food and Beverage, Utilities, Power Stations, Data Centres, Petrochemical, etc.
  • Proven sales and marketing experience within the Electrification Industry or similar fields.
  • Background in sales, marketing, or communications.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • UK full clean driving license.
