Job summary

Technique Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Non‑food Manufacturing Service Operator for a global non‑food manufacturing client based in Norwich.

Location: Norwich. Pay: £14.61 per hour (paid weekly). Training will be provided. Rotating shift pattern with 12‑hour shifts followed by days off. You will perform packing, quality checks, and operate injection moulding machinery among other duties.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing/production experience required.
• Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Pack, label and palletise products in line with SOPs for specific lines and products.
• Carry out quality checks, including hourly inspection and quarantining components; restart production to meet standards.
• Run machinery and attend to line stoppages, minimising downtime during shifts.
• Safely start/stop injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment per SOPs.
• Record log books with BOM details and traceability information.
• Provide stand-in relief during breaks and assist with other duties as needed.

Technique Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Non‑food Manufacturing Service Operator for a global non‑food manufacturing client based in Norwich.

Location: Norwich

Pay: £14.61 per hour (paid weekly). Training will be provided.

Rotating Shift Pattern

2 days 05:45 – 18:00 and 2 nights 17:45 – 06:00, followed by 4 days off (4 × 12‑hour shifts on a rolling 4‑day pattern).

Responsibilities

• Packing, labeling and palletising of product in line with SOPs for specific lines and products.
• Carry out quality checks, including hourly inspection, quarantining, back‑checking components, and completing associated documentation; restart production to correct standards if poor quality is found.
• Run machinery and attend to remedial line stoppages, minimising downtime throughout the shift.
• Safely start and stop injection moulding machines and auxiliary assembly equipment as per SOPs when required.
• Carry out barrel purges on injection moulding machines.
• Respond to emergency oil and water leaks/bursts on machinery, following the appropriate procedure for stopping the machine; inform a Setter or Maintenance member and assist with clean‑up.
• Collect materials and continuously fill hoppers throughout the shift as required.
• Empty waste bins, recycle, and weigh scrap.
• Maintain general housekeeping and ensure the work area remains clean and tidy.
• Complete log books with BOM (Bill of Materials) details.
• Record production in the respective log books and for new work orders on a new sheet.
• Record traceability information in log books.
• Record any machine issues in log books.
• Pass any comments related to line efficiency to the on‑coming shift.
• Ensure all stoppages and new orders are recorded on BARCO.
• Provide stand‑in relief cover for other Process or Service Operators during tea and meal breaks.
• Carry out resort and box‑making activities when instructed.
• Perform any other duties as required by the Team Leader that fall within the scope of this role and the department.
