Job summary

Meridian Business Support is hiring a Process Operative for a temporary role in the Bridgwater area (TA6). You will join a large production team and work on beverage filling lines, from smoothies to juice products.

The role covers 12-hour day and night shifts (06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00) on a 4 on/4 off pattern, with day rate £15.04 per hour and night rate £16.54 per hour plus allowances.

Qualifications

• Ideally experienced production or process operative with strong FMCG background.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining production line equipment.
• Confident using IT systems to record production data.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and mixing ingredients accurately to meet production requirements.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Handling raw materials, including moving and lifting drums up to 25kg.
• Monitoring production flow and planning ahead to avoid delays.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.
• Working independently while taking ownership of your area.

We are looking for a driven Process Operative in Bridgwater area (TA6) for a temporary assignment.

4 on 4 off Shift pattern - 2 Days, 2 Nights 4 days off.

12 Hour shifts - Day: 06:00 to 18:00 & Night: 18:00 to 06:00.

Day: £15.04ph (Basic + weekend allowance).

Night: £16.54ph (Basic + Night shift & weekend allowance).

Temporary role with ongoing work.

As a Process Operative you will join our large Production team of over 500 colleagues, where you will be working on one of the 27 production line's overseeing the beverage filling machines. The production machines create, fill and package drinks products from smoothies to leading supermarket juice's and everything in between.

As a Process Operative you will use your hands‑on experience with operating machinery to lead changeovers, conduct basic maintenance & fault finding whilst liaising with the engineering team to resolve more complex faults. Completing all required documentation to maintain full audit readiness whilst working collaboratively as part of a production team to achieve key factory performance.

Ideally, you will be an experienced production or process operative with a strong understanding of working in a fast‑paced manufacturing or FMCG environment. You'll have hands‑on experience operating and maintaining production line equipment, carrying out changeovers, basic fault finding, and quality checks in line with company standards. Confident using IT systems to record production data.
