Job summary

Equans is seeking a Service Manager to lead a team delivering a wide range of responsive, maintenance and void projects in Birmingham, in partnership with Birmingham City Council within social housing. The role is permanent and full-time with a competitive salary and benefits, including a company vehicle.

You will manage resources, plan jobs, allocate materials and equipment, and drive performance improvements while maintaining safety and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Higher National Certificate in Building Studies or equivalent experience.
• SMSTS/SSSTS qualification.
• City and Guilds Trade qualification.
• Experience of operating repairs maintenance contracts and knowledge of building legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of trade operatives or Sub-Contractors delivering maintenance and void projects.
• Ensure efficient use of resources, planning, scheduling, materials, plant and equipment.
• Propose improvements to job control, operational performance and client relationships.
• Ensure roles and responsibilities of trade operatives and Sub-Contractors are followed.
• Collaborate with the planning team to ensure safe work practices and high standards.
