Job summary

Royal Voluntary Service is seeking a Service Manager to oversee the Norfolk Home Library Service, coordinating volunteers, libraries and customers to deliver a person-centred service. The role includes recruitment, training and supporting volunteers while ensuring compliance with policies and achieving performance targets.

Role is home based with travel across the Norfolk area, 21 hours per week over three days, and requires a Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting and training volunteers.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, data protection and safeguarding requirements.
  • Experience in budgeting and managing resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, recruit, train and support volunteers, providing supervision and development.
  • Coordinate volunteer activities, rotas and meetings for a positive volunteer experience.
  • Manage the service to meet KPIs and funding requirements; monitor budgets and report performance.
  • Build relationships with Norfolk libraries, commissioners and other stakeholders.
