Job summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is seeking a Library and Resident Contact Supervisor to lead frontline library and resident services across our locations. You will line manage staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure welcoming, high-quality customer service.

This hands-on role requires engaging with residents and partners to extend community support. Based in Windsor, this permanent, 33.75-hour-per-week post offers hybrid working, generous leave and a comprehensive pension.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing frontline staff in a busy environment.
• Strong customer service focus with ability to handle enquiries.
• Proven ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing demands.

Responsibilities

• Line manage frontline staff across locations and plan staffing.
• Oversee library spaces to remain welcoming and safe.
• Work with partners to broaden resident support and tackle isolation.
• Promote services, manage stock and digital access, and support income opportunities.
• Support health and safety arrangements as RPBS and supervise hands-on frontline work.
