Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a Service Manager to lead Abbott House, a 40-bed specialist care home. You will drive day-to-day operations, ensure outstanding care and support your team to reach their full potential.

This role offers a 37.5-hour week, a salary of £47,500, 30 days annual leave and the Employee Ownership Trust tax-free bonus scheme. You’ll work with residents, families and local professionals to continually improve quality.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a care home or similar size/service.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
• Experience managing budgets, occupancy and operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Caring, compassionate and values-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Leading and inspiring your team to consistently deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
• Providing visible, approachable and supportive leadership throughout the home.
• Building strong relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
• Managing occupancy, budgets and resources to ensure continued success of the service.
• Maintaining compliance with CQC standards and relevant legislation.
• Driving continuous quality improvement through clinical governance.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and development of colleagues.
• Promoting meaningful activities, independence and choice for residents.
• Ensuring the home operates safely, effectively and in line with Shaw Healthcare's vision.
