Job summary

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a Residential Night Team Leader for Abbott House in Oundle. The role is part-time (24 hours per week) with night shifts from 20:00 to 08:00, supporting care for older people, including those with dementia, in a purpose-built residential and nursing setting.

You will lead a team, ensure safe medication administration, and maintain high standards of person-centred care, working closely with the Line Manager and families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older people in residential care.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent).
• Flexible, patient, caring, and well-organised with good people skills.
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, provide guidance and support on shift to promote best practice.
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures.
• Report changes in residents' needs or well-being to the Line Manager promptly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation.

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Residential Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Abbott House, situated in Oundle

The purpose-built service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures
• Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working with older people in residential care
• You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)
• You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
