Reactive Permanent Recruitment is seeking a Service Manager for their Wakefield site in West Yorkshire. The role focuses on leading the service department within a prestigious dealership, ensuring efficient customer service and profitability.

You will manage a team of Service Advisors, Technicians, and Parts Advisors, work with brand partners, and drive service budgets while upholding brand standards. A strong customer-focused mindset and hands-on leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a current/recent dealership Service Manager role.
• Mechanical knowledge relevant to workshop equipment or machinery.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
• Strong ability to upsell services or products while maintaining customer trust.
• Experience with cash handling procedures in a retail or service setting.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to scheduling, records, and reports.
• Effective communication with clients, team members and vendors.
• Ability to analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall service department, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer inquiries and issues.
• Achieve service department budget and customer service targets.
• Ensure accurate job costing and invoicing.
• Control parts and materials to ensure profitability.
• Improve customer satisfaction and retention.
