Job summary

The vehicle service department at a reputable multi-franchise dealer in Chippenham is hiring a professional Service Manager to lead the aftersales team and oversee workshop operations. This full-time role offers a £50,000 base salary plus performance bonuses, with on-target earnings to £60,000–£65,000 per year and a company car.

You will manage 9 technicians, 4 service advisors, and a workshop controller, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure adherence to manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service or Aftersales Manager within a medium to large franchise-approved car dealership.
• IT literate with familiarity in dealership management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the aftersales team, including 9 Vehicle Technicians, 4 Service Advisors, and a Workshop Controller.
• Oversee daily workshop operations to maximise efficiency and utilisation of workshop facilities.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management and support of the team.
• Maintain and improve service policies to enhance customer experience and dealership reputation.
• Support the sale of labour and parts, and manage workshop workflow.
• Liaise with the dealer principal and report on operational performance.

We are seeking a highly experienced and professional Vehicle Service Manager to join our client, a reputable multi-franchise approved car dealership located in Chippenham.

• Effective communication and customer service skills
• IT literate with familiarity in dealership management systems
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Willingness to live within reasonable commuting distance of Chippenham
