Are you an experienced Service Manager, Workshop Controller, or Master Technician looking to take charge of a high-volume main dealer aftersales operation with full manufacturer backing?

We are hiring an ambitious, results-driven Service Manager / Aftersales Manager to lead our busy automotive aftersales department at our established franchised dealership in Chippenham. We offer a £50,000 basic salary (plus a lucrative target-based bonus), permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:00–18:00), and complete brand backing.

Your Role

As our Service Manager / Aftersales Manager in Chippenham, you will:

• Direct and mentor a double-figure team of Vehicle Technicians, Mechanics, and Service Advisors to maximize workshop efficiency.
• Champion exceptional CSI standards, managing customer retention and ensuring all repairs and warranty claims comply with manufacturer guidelines.
• Optimize financial performance, tracking daily labour rates, unit productivity, hours sold, and departmental KPIs to exceed targets.
• Maintain rigorous quality and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with health and safety protocols, DVSA MOT guidelines, and automotive legislation.

What You Need

• Industry Background: Proven experience as a Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, or a senior Workshop Controller / Master Technician ready for a natural step up into full dealership management.
• Technical Credentials: Solid grounding in vehicle diagnostics, warranty procedures, and DMS software. NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds Part 3 equivalent) is required.
• Leadership & IT: Outstanding people management skills, strategic planning ability, and proficiency with workshop management systems and estimating software.
• Licensing: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
