Job summary

Autotech Recruit is seeking an experienced Service Manager for a busy automotive retailer in the North East. The role is temporary with a strong chance to become permanent, offering an immediate start and a 42-hour week. Pay is up to £25 per hour, dependent on experience and travel.

You will manage the aftersales department day-to-day, drive workshop performance, and provide leadership to service advisors and workshop staff while maintaining high customer satisfaction and adherence to standards.

Service Manager

Location: North East

Contract: Temporary (with potential to go permanent)

Hours: 42 hours per week

Pay: Up to £25 per hour (depending on experience and travel)

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to join a well-established and highly successful automotive retailer that forms part of a major dealer group. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Service Manager looking for an immediate start, with an initial booking of at least one month. For the right person, there is genuine potential for the role to become permanent. Should the assignment come to an end, we will also actively source your next contract or permanent opportunity.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a busy aftersales department, ensuring excellent customer service, strong workshop performance, and effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Service Manager within a franchised dealership environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced aftersales operation
• Experience using Kerridge and/or Pinewood would be highly advantageous
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
