Job summary

Auto Skills UK is looking for anexperienced HGV Service Technician to join our busy commercial vehicle workshop at Heathrow. You will carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on a range of HGVs to keep them safe and on the road.

The role involves completing job cards, vehicle safety checks, reporting defects, and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate has 5+ years on HGVs, a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification, a full UK driving licence and a

• Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles for 5 years+.
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence and a good understanding of vehicle safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance on HGVs.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and inspections.
• Carry out basic maintenance and identify any defects.
• Report any additional repair work required.
• Complete job cards and service documentation accurately.
• Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.

HGV SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Salary: OTE £58,375

Location: Heathrow

Hours: Monday to Friday 40hrs per week + 1 in 3 Saturday mornings

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Service Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop. This role will focus primarily on carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on a range of HGVs, helping to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and kept safely on the road.

• Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance on HGVs
• Complete vehicle safety checks and inspections
• Carry out basic maintenance and identify any defects
• Report any additional repair work required
• Complete job cards and service documentation accurately
• Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company and manufacturer standards

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles for 5 years +
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent preferred
• Experience carrying out servicing and routine maintenance
• A good understanding of vehicle safety and inspection standards
• Full UK Driving Licence
• A reliable and organised approach to work
