Job summary

Autoskills-Uk in Thurrock is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to service, maintain and repair HGVs in a modern workshop with excellent facilities and ongoing training. The role offers a competitive salary with overtime and a clear path for career development. Hours are 42.5 per week with alternating Early & Late shifts.

Overtime is paid at 1.5x. 31 days annual leave including bank holidays, plus a company pension and death in service insurance, with a supportive team and training

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Previous HGV Technician experience.
• IRTEC qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Complete all work to a high standard.
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
• Work safely and efficiently within a busy workshop.

Location: Thurrock

Salary: Up to £55,250 + Overtime

Hours: 42.5 hours per week | Alternating Early & Late Shifts | Alternate Saturdays Paid at Time and a Half

What We're Looking For:

• IRTEC qualification desirable but not essential
