Job summary

Elavation Platforms & Training is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer based near Silverstone to service, maintain and repair plant machinery at client sites and sometimes in the yard. The role combines hands-on diagnostics with planning, parts ordering and safety checks to minimise downtime.

You will hold a full UK driving licence and bring experience in plant maintenance; CAP trained is desirable. You’ll work with a small team to meet tight deadlines and ensure high reliability of equipment.

Silverstone

The Yard based and Mobile Service Engineer visits clients or remote locations to resolve or perform maintenance functions. assessing, installing, and fixing equipment or machinery. Also responsible for assembling equipment, calibrating machinery, meeting with clients and suppliers, testing equipment and supporting other Engineers. There will also be yard-based duties that will need to be carried out as per management instruction.

The Main Responsibilities Of The Role Include

• Review and fault find machines at set times, to avoid major problems in the future.
• Have all the latest equipment to be used to repair the machine
• Make detailed reports on what changes have been made and when the next service is scheduled.
• Order parts that need replacement in advance, so the work does not prevent machines going back out on hire.
• Machines must be serviced and repaired where necessary and quickly.
• Conduct safety checks on all the machines ( a must to ensure user safety)
• Have a hands-on approach in effecting repairs to the machinery.
• Where possible look to improve the performance of the machine.
• Ensure that any parts that need replacing are in stock
• Work in a team so that servicing and repairs can be achieved within tight deadlines
• Plan the servicing work in advance so the output of the depot is not affected
• Delegate work amongst each other so that the work can be conducted at a fast pace

Key Skills

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in plant maintenance, inspection and /or repair. However previous experience in a machinery production environment will also be considered. You will also have a full UK Driving Licence.
