Job summary

Elavation Platforms & Training in Silverstone is seeking a yard operative to keep the yard clean and compliant with Health & Safety requirements. You will move and prepare equipment for dispatch, undertake general yard duties, and assist with basic paperwork as required.

You will work in a small team to ensure servicing and repairs meet tight deadlines, maintain stock cleanliness, assist customers, and support training and development through on-the-job learning.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, efficient, well-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Ability to organise and prioritise tasks.
• Ability to work in a small team with limited supervision.
• Good product knowledge after in-house training.
• Performing support and maintenance duties in a workshop and yard environment.
• Involved in lifting operations when required.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles by hand or with a forklift truck.
• Sorting stock and transporting to storage areas.
• Ensuring stock is clean and ready for client use.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Answering questions from customers.
• Working in a team so that servicing and repairs can be achieved within tight deadlines.
• Continual improvement of own skills through training and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure adequate cover for holidays and absences.
• Any other reasonable responsibility given by your manager.

To provide an efficient yard service for Elavation which includes ensuring the yard area is clean and tidy and in line with Company Health & Safety requirements reporting directly to the Service Manager. As a yard operative your duties will include movement and preparation of equipment ready for dispatch, general yard clean up duties, basic paperwork and admin duties as required.
