Job summary

Executive Network Group is seeking a Service Engineer to maintain and service equipment at our Northamptonshire site. This is a stable, well-established role offering full training, a company pension, and opportunities for overtime.

You will perform routine maintenance, document activities to health and safety standards, troubleshoot breakdowns, and support yard operations including stock control and loading/unloading of equipment.

Qualifications

• NVQ or City & Guilds in Engineering preferred; time-served engineers will be considered.
• Experience on Cranes, Construction Plant, Agricultural Machinery or Forestry Equipment preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities of the Role

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment within the yard.
• Ensure all service activities are accurately documented and meet Health & Safety standards.
• Take ownership of the quality of equipment leaving the yard, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
• Respond to breakdowns swiftly—both in the yard and on-site—diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
• When required, provide first-line technical support to internal teams and external customers.
• Oversee stock control, and advise on parts requirements.
• Support the loading/unloading and safe storage of yard equipment.

Requirements of Role

• Ideally hold an NVQ or City & Guilds in Engineering, however time served engineers will also be strongly considered.
• Ideally have experience working on Cranes, Construction Plant, Agricultural Machinery or Forestry Equipment.
• Hold a Full UK driving license
