Job summary

Personnel Selection are pleased to be working alongside this fantast SME Engineering business, with a site in Salisbury. We are recruiting for a Service Engineer on a permanent and full time basis.

The ideal person has a strong mechanical background (hydraulics, diesel engines, plant or similar) and proven experience in the service and repair of industrial or plant equipment. You must have a full driving license, as there will be some off-site work involved.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background with hydraulics and diesel engines.
• Proven experience in service and repair of industrial or plant equipment.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, repair, fault finding, and refurbishment of hire fleet equipment.
• Prepare and inspect units before and after hire, ensuring reliability and safety.
• Lead by example in the workshop, setting the standard for quality of work and productivity.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and engine-related faults.
• Work at Salisbury depot 2/3 days per week and travel to clients across the South and Midlands.

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing their customers with an excellent service, so the ability to communicate effectively is required.

The role will include:

• Carry out service, repair, fault finding, and refurbishment of hire fleet equipment
• Prepare and inspect units before and after hire, ensuring reliability and safety
• Lead by example in the workshop, setting the standard for quality of work and productivity
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and engine-related faults
• You will be working within the Salisbury depot for 2/3 days of the week and then the rest of the week travelling to clients across the South and Midlands
