JobsTrackR is seeking a skilled Service & Repair Engineer to join our growing team. The role combines customer-facing field service work with hands-on workshop engineering, supporting customers across the UK and beyond.

You will install, commission, repair and maintain equipment at customer sites, while also supporting overhaul, assembly and testing in the workshop. A strong focus on safety and quality is required.

Qualifications

• Field service or site-based engineering experience required.
• Experience on large scale industrial machinery preferred.
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience required.
• Experience in Power, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas or related industries preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Engineering qualification such as Apprenticeship, HNC, Technical Certificate or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and provide effective engineering solutions.
• Act as main customer contact during site activities.
• Supervise customer personnel, contractors and third-party labour when required.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Participate in risk assessments and promote safe working practices.
• Deliver projects to agreed specifications, schedules and quality standards.
• Support overhaul, assembly, inspection and testing of equipment.
• Work closely with engineering and management to resolve technical challenges.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and efficient resource utilisation.

Service & Repair Engineer

The Company

A leading engineering manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality solutions across the Power, Oil & Gas, Nuclear and Industrial sectors is seeking a skilled Service & Repair Engineer to join its growing team.

This is a varied role combining customer-facing field service work with hands-on workshop-based engineering. You'll have the opportunity to work on complex equipment, supporting customers across the UK and beyond while developing your technical expertise within a well-established engineering business.

The Role

As a Service & Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance activities at customer sites.

You'll act as the primary point of contact on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. When not attending customer sites, you will support overhaul, repair, assembly and testing activities within the workshop.

About You

The successful Service & Repair Engineer will ideally have:

• Previous field service or site-based engineering experience
• Experience working on large scale industrial machinary
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience
• Experience within the Power, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas or related industries
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Engineering qualification such as an Apprenticeship, HNC, Technical Certificate or equivalent experience

Desirable Skills

• HV Electrical qualifications
• Installation and commissioning experience
• Offshore safety certifications
• Overhead Crane or Slinger certification
