Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly expanding organisation in the Industrial Cleaning Equipment sector to recruit a skilled Field Service Engineer in the Guildford area. You will service, repair and install equipment across customers within a typical 1-hour radius, using electrical and mechanical fault finding techniques.

You will have a UK driving licence, hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical systems, and the opportunity to join a structured training program with

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical or mechanical fault finding and servicing.
• UK driving licence required.
• Previous field-based engineering role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, service and installations within about an hour radius of your area.
• Use a range of manual and powered tools (spanners, screwdrivers, drills, grinders).
• Operate lifting equipment such as slings and hoists.
• Work with hot-work equipment like blowtorches and heat guns.
• Fault find and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Service industrial cleaning equipment and internal combustion engines (petrol/diesel/LPG).
• Manage time to complete tasks to a high standard and on schedule.
• Complete job reports and order replacement parts as needed.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Location:Guildford, Surrey

Salary:£41,(Apply online only)-£42,(Apply online only) base salary + London Weighting (£3,(Apply online only)-£4,(Apply online only) per annum)

OTE:£50,(Apply online only)-£55,(Apply online only)+

Hours:Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Additional Pay:Door-to-door travel time paid + overtime at 1.5x

The Responsibilities

• Attending breakdowns, servicing and installations across a range of industrial cleaning equipment, typically operating within a1-hour radius of your area
• Using a range of manual and powered tools, including spanners, screwdrivers, drills and grinders
• Using lifting equipment such as lifting slings and hoists
• Using hot-working equipment including blowtorches and heat guns
• Carrying out electrical, electronic and mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Working on industrial cleaning equipment and internal combustion engines, includingpetrol, diesel and LPG engines
• Managing your time effectively to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within appropriate timescales
• Completing job reports and ordering replacement parts where necessary
• Ensuring allHealth & Safety proceduresare followed at all times

The Requirements

• Previous experience inelectrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair and servicing
• A good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge
• Experience in a similar engineering role, such as:
• Plant Engineer
• Maintenance Engineer
• Hydraulic Engineer
• Pneumatic Engineer
• Mechanical Fitter
• Relevant qualifications such asNVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineeringwould be advantageous but are not essential
• Experience using electrical and mechanical tools
• Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical or field-based engineer
• Experience working withdiesel enginesand electrical diagnostic equipment
• Afull UK driving licence
