Job summary

FläktGroup UK is seeking a hands-on field service engineer to attend client sites, provide expert engineering support, and carry out PPM, repairs, refurbishments and commissioning of HVAC plant. You will also respond to emergency call-outs on a regional rota with a 4-hour SLA, and prepare on-site risk assessments for safe working conditions.

Additionally, you will identify service enhancement opportunities, mentor apprentices, and ensure F-Gas compliance through our digital tracking system.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• F-Gas Qualification (C&G 2079-11) is required.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a key player in our field-based team, you’ll:

• Attend client sites to provide expert technical assistance and engineering support.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a hands‑on expert who’s proactive, professional, and always focused on delivering top-quality service.

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• F-Gas Qualification (C&G 2079-11)
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points, no pending cases)
• Extensive A/C service experience, including VRV, VRF, chillers, splits & close control systems.
• Strong fault‑finding ability and excellent communication skills.
• Confidence working independently with solid IT knowledge (Excel, Word, email, databases).
• The postholder will be required to complete security checks, DBS, and other clearances as necessary.
