Job summary

Fläkt Group UK is seeking a Service Engineer to join their dynamic team in Central London. This field-based role requires a hands-on expert who will provide technical assistance and engineering support at various client sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in A/C service, including VRV, VRF, chillers, and split systems.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Full UK driving licence required.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key player in our field-based team, you'll:

• Attend client sites to provide expert technical assistance and engineering support.
• Carry out PPM, repairs, refurbishments, modifications, and commissioning of HVAC plant and equipment.
• Respond to emergency call-outs as part of a regional rota with 4-hour SLA response times.
• Prepare on-site risk assessments to support a safe working environment.
• Spot service enhancement opportunities and pass on sales leads.
• Support and guide apprentices and trainees in their development.
• Contribute to the upkeep of F Gas compliance using our digital tracking system.

What You Bring

We're looking for a hands-on expert who’s proactive, professional, and always focused on delivering top-quality service.

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• F-Gas Qualification (C&G 2079-11)
• Full UK driving licence
• Extensive A/C service experience, including VRV, VRF, chillers, splits & close control systems.
• Strong fault-finding ability and excellent communication skills.
• Confidence working independently with solid IT knowledge (Excel, Word, email, databases).
• The postholder will be required to complete security checks, obtain a clear enhanced DBS, and other clearances as necessary.

Bonus Points For

• PASMA / MEWP certification.
• Geographic familiarity with your region.
• Manual handling and Safe Pass training.
