Job summary

FläktGroup UK is seeking an AC Service Engineer to join our regional team in Herefordshire, field based. You will provide hands-on technical support on HVAC plant and equipment across client sites, with a focus on planned and reactive maintenance.

You’ll carry out PPMs, repairs, commissioning, and safety assessments, respond to emergencies on a rota with 4-hour SLA, mentor apprentices, and help uphold F Gas compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is required.
• F-Gas Qualification (C&G 2079-11) is required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Extensive A/C service experience, including VRV/VRF, chillers, and close control systems.
• Strong fault-finding abilities and good communication.
• Ability to work independently with solid IT knowledge (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Attend client sites to provide expert technical assistance and engineering support.
• Carry out PPM, repairs, refurbishments, modifications, and commissioning of HVAC plant and equipment.
• Respond to emergency call-outs as part of a regional rota with 4-hour SLA response times.
• Prepare on-site risk assessments to support a safe working environment.
• Spot service enhancement opportunities and pass on sales leads.
• Support and guide apprentices and trainees in their development.
• Contribute to the upkeep of F Gas compliance using our digital tracking system.
