HPC plc Compressed Air Systems in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom, is hiring a Field Service Engineer.

Job Overview

The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of compressed air equipment for HPC or its customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on compressors and related systems.
2. Plan and execute maintenance tasks efficiently and cost-effectively.
3. Ensure compliance with procedural and documentation requirements.
4. Complete and submit service reports, timesheets, and other necessary documents.
5. Adapt to various tasks to optimize labor use in the Service Department.
6. Maintain communication with customers and HPC regarding job status.
7. Address technical and safety issues through problem-solving.
8. Promote a safe working environment and ensure colleagues understand safety responsibilities.
9. Undertake product training as needed, both in the UK and Germany.
10. Be available for emergency out-of-hours duties as per the call-out rota.
11. Complete maintenance tasks on time and accurately, including checklists and service reports.
12. Keep precise records of work via timesheets.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in field service engineering and industrial machinery servicing.
• Background in servicing rotating machinery, with mechanical/electrical expertise.
• Proficiency in IT.
• HND or HNC in a technical field or equivalent, with at least two years' practical experience with industrial rotating equipment.
• Experience with industrial rotating machines in a service context, demonstrating good manual skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driving license is essential.
• Experience in the compressed air industry is advantageous.
